Sound telescope - looking for teammates

Hi everyone,

i'm planning to build a (toy) telescope to listen to sounds far away. At the moment the idea is to put a cheap android mobile phone inside a tube and read it's compass and then map that to sounds typical for places found at that direction through some online map service. But open to other suggestions.

If you're still looking for a team to join let me know. Most helpful would be any android or web server dev skills but if you can hack with hacksaw that would come handy too.
